Looks like mariokartwii.com has been shut down

Well, I just went back to mkw.com like I do every so often or so to check up on things and it seems like the place is gone. Pretty sure it's the case since most forums I see that get shut down have the same message.

It had a good run 9 year run (or in my case, a good 7 year run). Shame that the admins there didn't give us a month of heads up or so or anything.

Yeah,it had quite the run, somewhere I spent a lot of time on and met some good friends. I'm glad both of you are on this site since you two are the only ones I checked MKWii for.

Yea I noticed that a few days ago kinda sad but it was bound to happen. I haven't been on here much since starting school and moving again but yea at least we can talk here

Yeah, it's good we had something to fall back on, it would suck not being able to talk to both of you guys anymore just because the site got shut down.

I was hoping it would last into 2017 at least, lol. I even wrote a post back in the start of 2016 in the annual time capsule thread asking my future self whether the site will still be around by 2017, I guess not, lol.

Yeah. Nothing but database error. I assumed everyone just decided to finally let it go. It's so sad because there were so many memories from there. Oh well, the site was almost dead the past 3 years anyway. Time to move on.

Welcome back finja and it's kinda sad but I've def moved from that place. The memories were amazing but ever since 2014 the site went downhill so much

And now it looks like they sold the domain to a site that sells warez. Pretty weird if you ask me, lol

Another forum bites the dust. RIP.
