Looks like the other Mario Kart Forum finally shut down

Not that I ever had any plans of making an account there, let alone post on there because I couldn't care less for competitive Mario Kart Wii or the people who associate with it. But I just noticed that it was just gone entirely.

Still makes me feel just a bit old though. Now we can say we officially outlasted both Mario Kart Wii Forums, lol.

As I once said, everything on the internet lasts forever... until the server host wipes all of it away, lol.

aw thats kind of sad lol. I had an account there but i haven't logged in in years. Speaking of which, the last time i logged in to this site was back in February which is so crazy i haven't been on this site in almost a year. And yes that is really cool. I still cant believe this website is almost 12 years old. Also, a forum i joined in 2019 recently bought the domain of the old forum we used to use (mariokartwii.com)

At some point anything from 2008-2012 will only exist our memories, lol. Assuming it already hasn't. I already kinda forgot a lot of stuff from that time in my life sadly.

I see. To be fair life sucked for me so I hadn't logged on or posted anything between February - October this year myself.

They bought the old domain? lol interesting. I guess in some way we can say mariokatwii.com still exists in that sense. I'd probably have nothing to post there since I know nothing about how to hack wiis though, lol.

We're like that small local diner that outlasts the bigger chains.

Was a long time since I'd logged into that. It's kind of a shame some of those threads (and art) couldn't be saved from that time. (But I did save my fics.) But, I guess all things eventually fade away, even forums.

Yeah, that or a relaxing small town in the middle of the mountains, lol.



I guess it's still impressive that people stayed around for that long even after all this time and any actual interest in mkwii has long faded away. Maybe it's gone now but when it was there and lasted for that long it was cool and special that way for the people used it.

I say that even though I never used that forum cause the same can be said for this place and us, lol. Maybe the site hosting this place might close some day, but when it is/was here what it was cool and special too, lol.
